My priority would be the content creation, can’t really outsource that. But would love to outsource design as I completely suck at that. It’s just getting to the point where I have the cash to pay someone else to do these tasks, that’s the initial hurdle.

I do some of my podcasts. My team do create and broadcast the content for the services business. What type of content are you needing help with?
At this stage written content. Perhaps I can do this better by having a good routine and system. I’ve got a lot of stuff in my brain that I want to get out and share (and purge so I’m not processing it all the time). It’s the how and having time that’s the challenge. Thanks.

James, how would you use your cupcake method to slowly remove yourself from a situation where you have a client who treats you as their trusted advisor (which is great in terms of long term partnership and lifetime value of the customer) but the project management tasks (particularly project follow-up) and constant questions (eg: leads are down for UK this week what can we do about it asap, can we get your feedback on this new landing page re-design, chip in your feedback on this Google doc, etc) associated with it are a big time suck?

I have had this situation several times. Of course I can go into much more detail about this inside jamesschramko.com/membership . I put my clients on a monthly retainer. I hired team members to support me then eventually I re-directed my time to managing the team instead of the client. I started group coaching and migrated some of my one:one clients there.
I have had Slack set up for the last month but need to hit invite to get staff on board for that. That is my goal for the next 24 hours. Then I really need to write some SOP for the things that I found myself doing yet again on another public holiday!

I need to hire my own full-time assistant. I currently have a tech VA 10 hrs per week that I cost share with two other entrepreneurs. She’s great in many ways but my projects are not prioritized and SOPs are not always followed because she’s rushing to get things done for me while engaged in other projects. I would love support with social media posting, blog posting, website development, opt-in pages, CRM, eNewsletters, content development. I’m starting a new biz after selling my last one. I did transition that biz to a remote team and hired my people in the Philippines. But the skill set I’m looking for now is very different from my other my team and the referrals I’ve been getting have not been great fits. Hello Madeleine,
Focus on knowing your target audience and creating a product / service they are willing to buy. Test it by selling. Once your offer converts you will have the funds to scale by hiring a team and buying marketing.

Right now I am starting from scratch. I have had this same desire to have an online business with information that has helped me to help others for about 8 years. I have learned so much and added so much with my content but I never actually got anything going except sell some ebooks I wrote on amazon. The issue I had was I have a landscaping business and for 10 months of the year I work to much and at nights I work on learning how to get my website out there and before I know it I fall asleep on my laptop. Anyway my desire to help people and have a lifestyle like yours keeps calling me. At this time my bills are extremely low, I’m about to sell part of my business and start doing more of the things I love for work. This last month I’ve have not been landscaping cause its my off season so and Ive been doing more art which I love I’ve been meditating everyday, with that I have been getting good insight and one of them is to find the right course to get me on my path. When I read and hear your work it feels right to move forward with your products and help. Sorry I know I wrote too much here If you think these modules are to advanced for where I am right now and you offer something else please let me know. Thank you so much

At the moment I am listening to freedom ocean (which brought me here) under my earmuffs while I work, unfortunately I found this pod cast a little too late, but at least I have the advantage to go back to back with the episodes. I have the desire to set up an income online so that I can have the freedom to work and make money from any location.
