Awesome post James, one of our key drives for building Process Street was to help companies manage virtual teams. I’d love to interview you for our blog to talk about some of your processes and how you manage your team!

James – interested in your currency tip. I have staff in Philippines and pay in US dollars. How do you set up a local currency payment?

Convert your USD in Paypal to PHP Pesos then Masspay twice per month (15th and 30th) send through several days before the due date to allow for the funds to arrive in Paypal and be drawn down to a bank account.
Great tip – thanks

James, I pay in USD but always absorb the fee associated with the transaction, so they get the amount pre-determined. Should I still make the switch to PHP? (won’t use mass pay as payments are different each time.) Awesome content, thanks!
ask your currency they would like to be paid in. Don’t be afraid to adjust your pay for extra work, bonuses etc..
Hey James,
I’ve just started with my first 2 GVAs after hearing you on Chris Ducker’s podcast.
They’re amazing, but training is a bit of a hump to get over. I know when they’re up to speed, it will be a lot easier.
My question is with task management software. Every system I’ve used feels like it’s a monster to manage everything and keep up with tasks assigned and communication back and forward.
Do you have any advice on this part?
