James Schramko here. Today, I want to talk about why I think live events are glue for your business. So, if you sell information products, if you have any kind of community, then having live events or even local meetups can be great glue for your business.
What do I mean by that? So, it’s really good for existing members, of course. They can come to the live events, usually they’ll pay extra, and this is a great way for people to meet and to bond in a human context. It’s also really good for you as the creator to have a deadline to create something useful and potentially record that and you can end up with more product.
It’s also really good for you with your connections and influences within your peer group because you can bring in other experts and you can mastermind with them at a higher level. It also lets everyone else in your world know that you are an authority because you’re putting on the event, there is marketing around it. So, people know about it, even if they don’t go, that you’re at that stage with your business where you’re legitimate enough to be running live events.
So, hopefully these reasons stimulate you to run your own live event. If you need access to a live event checklist or some help around this, this is something I help you with inside SuperFastBusiness membership.
