Business models we’re going to cover in the next 3 days local business, domain name, affiliate marketing, and software. Did you know between FastWebFormula 2 and FastWebFormula 3, James Dyson has sold over a million dollars with his software that he started at FastWebFormula 2 or just after going home from FastWebFormula 2? Is that cool? And he’s going to share that with us. So I said, “James, don’t tell us about logos and graphics and stuff. Tell us about what you did. Tell us about your software business.” I’m developing software. At the moment, I’ve got a software developer sitting here in the audience who is helping me create an amazing piece of software. And I’m going to be glued to that presentation because software is where the money is, if you look at the big companies. And you hear about people talking about apps and Kindles and all these. It’s going to be very popular, but software is important.
Portal websites as business
We also got the portal websites. If you just wanted to sit back in the background, be underground and just build websites all day, you’re going to find out how to do that this afternoon. You can actually combine some of these. Obviously, you could build websites on your domain portfolio and sell affiliate products, which is kind of what I do. That is what our whole blog network is about – we build out websites, we build up the value of our portfolio and we actually make money from it. That’s very exciting.
Everything about Podcasting
We’re also going to talk about podcasting, because it’s pretty hot right now. And it’s only going to get more impressive as more people have portable devices so we’ve got a lot to look forward to.
What’s this thing here? This was my marketing plan. I think so, yes. This was my marketing plan from the dealership. I used to sit there and just map it all out. I’d pull out the notes. It’s not in your workbook. If you want some of these things, if you’re just curious, like what a dealership does, you can let me know and I’ll put them on the resources page. I’ve thrown in a whole bunch of stuff here to make a point, and the point is, I was doing a lot of planning and mapping and thinking about my business to grow it. It just didn’t happen by pushing a magic button. So as long as that point gets across, that’s really my key point here.
Conversion strategies with Ed Dale
Conversion strategies we’ll be covering at this event. We’ve got Ed coming up next, and he’s going to talk about leadership. And really, that is a conversion strategy. If Anthony Robbins is standing up here and offers something for sale, his conversions will be good if you know who he is and you like and trust him, and you look up to him. Ed Dale has been talking about that a lot and we’re going to find out his insight. Alexi’s going to be talking about copywriting and conversions.
Selling and Mindset
I’m going to talk about selling. And Ed O’Keefe is talking about mindset and this guy is, he swears sometimes okay. I’m just saying if you are sensitive. He said in the sensitivity, where is the audience? From here being no swear words, to here dropping F bombs, and I said well, they’re grown up adults but I reckon they’re probably somewhere in the middle if that’s alright. Anyway, overlook his flaws and you’ll see the guy is super successful. He actually built over $40 million worth of revenue in one industry and he’s pretty much parked it to the side while he’s focus on the next venture. Would you like to know what that is?
