James Schramko here with a business news update.
I’ve got three tips that I want to share with you today. They’re very important fundamentals.
The first thing is traffic.
Okay, you need to get traffic to your business and probably by far the best way to get conversions is to get face-to-face traffic. When you meet someone at an event, when you speak with someone directly that is a high traffic path but it’s a little bit hard to speak to many people at once so for that reason a lot of us are now using websites. And in terms of websites, a great place to meet as many people as you possibly can is Facebook. So one of my favourite traffic methods is Facebook and I’m seeing up to 43,000 people a week on Facebook and reaching 1.3 Million people through my friends of friends.
What does that mean for you?
Well if you setup a fan page and you start meeting more people, you should get a lot more traffic to your business.
The other things that I like for traffic are setting up my own news blog like the one you’re probably watching videos on. And of course my video channel because people go online, they watch videos, they look at blogs, they surf Facebook, so that’s why traffic is important.
Okay, my second tip is about your offer.
You need to have that traffic going somewhere, where they do something that helps you and helps them. So in terms of offers, I’m going to offer you this tip. Make sure that your offer is the most relevant offer that you can possibly offer for people who are perfectly in your target market audience. And it should be easy for them. They should recognize that your offer is just for them. It should be as though you’re having a conversation just with them even though you might be speaking to a lot of people, using the word ‘You’ like I do in my videos makes it personal. With your offer, I’m going to suggest that you use some kind of checklist to make sure that you always offer the most important components. When I was a direct sales person, there were 6 things that I needed to know when I sold something. And I use questioning to find out those things. Now if you’re using a webpage or a video you can use those questions in the video or on the sales copy to get the same result.
The third component is follow up.
Not everyone will buy straight away but when you meet these people with your traffic, when you’re making these offers when people don’t buy right now, have a sequential follow up. For that reason I’m using software like Office Autopilot but I also use the telephone, I use Skype, I use face-to-face meetings, keep that relationship, keep a lifetime customer first and prioritized. But the second option is you’d want a lifetime prospect who at some point in the future may buy from you. And that’s very important so have a way of keeping and maintaining that relationship. That might be having a news blog and keeping up really valuable content, good tips for your audience.
So there are my three big tips.
On a side note this week.
I was recently interviewed by Dean Jackson and Joe Polish on their wonderful I Love Marketing podcast. I strongly urge you to listen to that podcast because I revealed some fantastic stories of the best sales tips and the best business tips that I learnt from running up to a hundred million dollar a year business.
So in there you’ll find out the fantastic recurring business model that Dean Jackson talks about, you’ll also find out why I got a lot of inspiration from General Patton and lots of other cool stuff. So check it out on ILoveMarketing.com and if you need a little bit of motivation, I reveal my top motivation techniques that should get you all fired up very quickly. Hopefully it’s really inspiring for you.
Now make sure you comment in this post.
When you do that you’re stepping in front of all of my target audience. When you think about it, I’m sending my customer list to the video I made, I’m putting the video up on my website, I’m promoting it with press releases and with Facebook. So when you make a comment, you’re actually stepping in front of my target audience. So if you like my stuff, probably my other customers might like your stuff and they’ll follow your link. So the best, easiest way that you can promote yourself is to make a comment on my videos each time I post a news release.
I hope you have a great week. I’ll look forward to catching up with you next week.

I really love the new videos James. I’ll be interested to see how long you maintain this volume but it’s definitely high caliber stuff. I subscribed to the podcast for this channel then discovered I preferred getting this one as a weekly digest by email (probably because I don’t usually do video podcasts on my cell phone). Every time you show up in my inbox, I’m on it!
James Schramko says
The weekly difest is proving popular and I’m fine with that too. I want to deliver the content in the most relevant medium for people. I expect this site will continue to have videos frequently since I have had very positive feedback about it. I’ll keep doing it.
