James Schramko here. What do you do if you’re not attracting the right customers to your business?
Now, if your sales are not resulting in the right customers, it’s time to redesign your entire sales process. Go right back to the pre-suasion part to the marketing. How is your brand image? What does your design look like? What sort of promises are you making and where are you distributing your information? Are you appealing to people where they’re at? Do you have the message that resonates with them?
And of those customers, are you attracting the ones that have the very best chance of success, that you enjoy dealing with the most? Because this can all be crafted and framed in the way you present your information and the way you bring that customer into the position where they’re ready to make an order.
So, think about that. It starts from the social media, it starts from your website brand. Whatever funnel or sequence or steps you have involving your business, every single component of that — the words on the email, the pictures you use, the speed your website loads, they all start to shape the experience and attract or repel the right customer.
You can definitely put filtering criteria so that only the right prospects make it through to the offer. I certainly work really hard at the homepage of SuperFastBusiness.com to help move people to the right solution even if that’s not mine. Sometimes, I offer someone else’s solution if I’m not going to be the best solution provider and that way I only have good customer experiences. And the sales that I have are the sales I actually wanted.
I hope this is some food for thought. What things have you seen work well in terms of attracting the right customer? I’d love to get your comments right where you see this video.
