James Schramko here, and I’m going to have a quick chat to you about goal-setting. You know, what I think a lot of people miss is there are more elements when it comes to thinking about outcomes you want in your life, other than just money.
For example, I’ve seen people setting daily objectives, you know, a daily amount they need to reach. But what happens is, when you make that your target, then you start compromising on other areas. For example, if you want to make a hundred thousand dollars a day, then that means you’re going to start compromising somewhere else. It might rob from your health goals. It might take away from your life enjoyment. Maybe you don’t have time to catch up with people who you love. Maybe you’re not mastering some new skills. So just be careful. If you set goals that are too specific around one particular element, it’s probably going to divert energy from another.
