Where James’s business is currently
James describes his current business setup as streamlined, with a simple sales page on his website that automates member access and integrates with his email system for various tasks.
Inside his platform, members see only three key features, honed over 15 years to enhance effectiveness: weekly group calls with easy scheduling, Playbooks containing simplified checklists of all his trainings and resources, and private coaching through text, voicemail, or video links.
James mentions the new post-it note feature at the top of discussions, which shows the weekly focus for members, creating greater accountability. Members love it, and James likes that he can see at a glance what a member is targeting that week.
James’s platform, Kleq, while retaining older features like archived trainings in the background, emphasizes fewer components for higher-level members, ensuring they use and benefit from the essential tools provided.
These streamlined features, says James —private chat, group calls, and playbooks —are highly valued by his members and reduce the need for extensive programs or lengthy calls. The focused approach, too, prevents people from unsubscribing because they feel they are underusing the resources they pay for.
Building the business you want
James knows there are other Kleq users using the platform well. He’d like John to share some anonymized examples of users generating significant sales volumes, especially those earning over $100,000 a month, to illustrate successful use cases and strategies.
John explains first that the flexibility of Kleq lets users tailor the platform to their specific business needs, whether starting simple or adding advanced features over time. This adaptability allows users to evolve their businesses as they grow, providing the necessary tools for their desired setup and business goals.
Successful Kleq users operate in various markets, such as music and health and fitness, by addressing specific pain points of their target audiences. By solving these pain points effectively, users can maximize their sales and achieve substantial revenue, showing the platform’s capability to support diverse and profitable online businesses.
The things people sell
Successful users of Kleq sell various types of products to cater to different customer needs and price points. They might offer, for instance, low-ticket items, like quick one-page courses similar to James’s playbooks, to convert interested subscribers into paying customers. This strategy helps build a customer base by providing immediate, affordable solutions.
Users also may sell high-ticket flagship programs that often include comprehensive online courses and training programs. These can span several weeks and include access to content, live Q&A calls, and coaching sessions, making these high-priced offerings significantly valuable.
Some users implement subscription-based models, providing ongoing access to community, training, and group coaching. These memberships, often priced monthly, foster a sense of community and continuous learning.
Lastly, high-ticket coaching elements, like private chats and calls, can be utilized to offer personalized guidance and support, following a simple yet effective model.
How people are selling
Successful Kleq users, says John, use sophisticated marketing campaigns to sell their products. Kleq was designed to facilitate such campaigns, like funnels, marketing automations, and sales strategies.
A basic sales campaign involves a sales page, order page, and thank you page, but more complex strategies can include automated limited sales, triggered by a subscriber’s journey.
Users can also implement mini-course campaigns, made up of several value-packed videos leading to a call to action, often referred to as launches. Live streaming events or webinars are another effective method, where users provide valuable content and then invite attendees to purchase high-ticket items, subscriptions, or coaching services.
Additional campaign types include book funnels for selling low-ticket items and extended challenge campaigns that build trust and familiarity over a longer period, typically 30 days. These campaigns culminate in an invitation to join a coaching program or purchase high-ticket items. Overall, the key strategy is to offer valuable content upfront and then invite potential customers to take the next step by making a purchase.
Building an audience and capturing traffic
John stresses the importance of building an audience and capturing traffic through email lists. While having a presence on social media, YouTube, or podcasts is good, that traffic needs to be converted into a controllable audience for effective campaign execution.
There are various methods to capture traffic, starting with simple newsletters or daily tips, and progressing to lead magnets that address specific pain points, mini-courses providing sequential valuable content, and one-time events like webinars. These strategies help build trust and familiarity with the audience, making them more likely to engage and purchase high-ticket items or join subscription programs.
There are, too, different types of traffic – organic traffic, for instance, from social media, podcasts, or content, as well as guest appearances on others’ platforms. By capturing and nurturing this traffic through campaigns and automated tools available on the Kleq platform, users can sell their programs to audiences at various stages of their journey, from initial interest to advanced coaching needs.
Ever hear of a quiz funnel?
John touches on quiz funnels, a strategy often used by high-earning clients to dynamically engage potential customers. In a quiz funnel, participants answer a series of questions, resulting in a customized lead magnet tailored to their specific needs. For example, in the wellness market, lead magnets might be customized through leads’ responses to address neck pain, lower back pain, or leg pain.
This strategy is applicable across various industries, including trading and music, by using advanced segmentation and automation tools that Kleq offers. Customizing marketing paths and segmenting one’s audience aim to increase sales, profits, and revenue. This approach is key to the success of many high-performing clients on the platform.
Some points for clarification…
James wants to clarify: high-earning Kleq users employ quiz funnels to build their email lists and sell various programs, including one-time six-week courses, recurring subscription communities, and high-end coaching?
John confirms. There are different funnels to facilitate different offerings.
And you can do a live stream hosted on the Kleq website, but powered by YouTube?
Yes, says John. Live streams can be hosted on a Kleq website but powered by platforms like YouTube. This setup lets users track engagement and conversions more effectively, tagging attendees and customizing follow-up emails based on their interactions, ultimately improving conversions.
The choice that people have
What James hears is that people have a choice between highly specialized tools that handle segmentation and capture but lack billing and delivery capabilities, and all-in-one platforms that manage emails, videos, and other functions but may quickly reach their limitations for advanced marketers. He notes, too, that some platforms also charge higher fees as users become more successful, which is not the case with Kleq.
Kleq does not take commissions, says John, and it allows users to handle their own payments.
James sees Kleq as the central tool that integrates seamlessly with other services like Loom, YouTube, email providers, and payment processors such as Stripe and PayPal. It also offers the flexibility to create and manage memberships and courses without relying on multiple standalone tools.
As a Kleq user, James appreciates its customization possibilities. Each user can create a unique membership setup, unlike other platforms that tend to produce generic, replicated models. James also values Kleq’s fixed pricing, integration capabilities, user control, and the availability of an app, making it a versatile and effective tool for building and managing online businesses.
What listeners can take away…
The key takeaway for James is: combining front-end and back-end functionalities into one tool like Kleq can simplify your workflow. By activating the available features and customizing as you grow, you can create a streamlined and effective system for your business.
Kleq’s goal, says John, is to provide an all-in-one platform that eliminates the need for multiple, disjointed tools. Kleq also ensures that users retain control over their email and payment systems without hidden fees or commissions, while supporting various sales and marketing strategies.
James wholeheartedly endorses Kleq based on his positive user experience and long-term collaboration with John. In full disclosure, he and John are partners in getting the word out about the platform. Interested listeners can access a special offer at Kleq.com/James.
