James Schramko here. Today’s topic is thinking about how to get things running smoothly with the people around you. This applies especially to staff and customers. And the topic is human nature.
When you’re putting together sales plans, when you’re putting together courses, when you’re putting marketing out there or any kind of sign-up process or induction or onboarding, think about human nature. When you share a good success story with a customer, think about human nature. It is common that people will copy you. It is understandable that people will look for the best side of a deal in their part of the bargain and try and chop you out. This is human behavior.
Once you understand and anticipate human behavior, you can design systems that get the result that you want. Where do you learn about it? Watch documentaries. Observe people around you. See how people react and behave to the way that you present things, and then adjust and tune accordingly. If you think about human behavior, then you will start getting the results aligned to the way that you would expect.
