James Schramko here, and I want to talk about being a perfectionist, which is something that I am NOT. And I’ve seen some students actually sweat bullets on the tiny, tiny stuff, and I would say that as a kid maybe in preschool, they were coloring right to the edge, very precise, very slow. And sometimes that approach won’t suit getting great results in business.
I think if you go more of the broad brushstrokes, if you can fill the colors fairly quickly and leave someone else to color the edges, you might actually get a lot more done. And what you might find is that most people’s tolerances are not quite as tight as yours, if you are an extreme perfectionist. So think about that. Are you a broad brushstroke, or are you a color-to-the-line person, and is that getting you the results that you want, and could you try a different approach?
Hope you’ve enjoyed this tip. Speak to you tomorrow.
