Who should you run retargeting ads to? If you’re not sure which segment to start with, then this answer from a recent Q&A call inside SuperFastBusiness will give you a few insights into where to start.
Now, I’d retarget your whole audience. So we’ll run a remarketing campaign to our whole audience and we’ll just try and exclude buyers, of course. That’s the segment you don’t want to run the ads to. But in saying that, if you’ve got an upsell or a back-end product, it’s okay to target the buyers for another campaign. A lot of people miss that one because they’re the hot ones.
Same goes for if you’re on a trial with something. So yes, you definitely want to run ads to your different segments. And it would make sense because it’s so cheap to run ads to your own audience and upload that email list. Or I guess you could also do a look-alike audience as well for your original offer.
And the more videos you’ve been doing, the way that I talk about, the more of a catchment you’ll have, and that’s what happened with us. We went for quite a while just doing videos and videos and videos. And I wasn’t seeing a huge return on social media initially, but then boom. When we’d started to make an offer, it just crescendoed. And we made a lot of money all at once. So yes, that’s the time when you’re in the go zone to turn up the heat.
And I’d go for multiple channels. Some people forget this. I was speaking to a SilverCircle member this morning, he’s got an email offer campaign similar to what you’ve described at the moment, but he also sends his staff into the customer’s premise. And he also has their mailing details. So I would send snail mail. And I would also have the staff doing it. If you’ve got access to multiple channels, use them. And I find this around the time of my events when I go to local meetups, that in-person channel is very powerful as well. It’s much harder for someone to stare across the table and tell me why they’re not coming to the live event. I think a few people make their decision based on the multiple interactions. If you do happen to have mail addresses, that’s definitely an area where people have either never done or forgotten about, but it’s extremely powerful.
