Ilana: Many people who I speak to, I am not a fan of putting all the eggs in the Facebook ad basket. So I said to this member, Okay, we need to diversify. Because yes, this is great that this is working and we’re going to keep doing this. But this is too risky just to rely 100 percent on Facebook ads. You know, I’m sure many listeners would be nodding their head right now.
James: Ilana, you’re just so sensible. Stop it. Hang on. You mean, you don’t want to build your entire business on the Facebook ads? That’s like rant number two. My Facebook ads cost too much now, and it’s not working anymore and I’m basically screwed. You know, I can’t pay wages. Like stop doing it. People, I have been talking about OwnTheRacecourse for over 10 years. And one day, it’ll catch on. I smell a traffic puzzle here.
Ilana: Exactly. So you’ve said, Okay, let’s put other pieces of this puzzle and make it a bigger picture. So just going back to what you were saying, the other complaint is that, My Facebook ad account got shut down. I did nothing wrong, and I’ve got no idea why. Right? Which is also really common.

I would have to agree that putting all of one’s marketing budget into Facebook Ads isn’t the most sensible solution. Diversifying marketing efforts goes a much longer way in building a business.
