James Schramko here, and today I am going to a trade show. And if you ever want to get more business, go to a trade show, collect all the information of the exhibitors, and then later you can cold approach them with a case study marketing approach through their contact details.
This is the easiest way to jumpstart business. Go to an industry-specific trade show, and you have all of the exhibitors who are there because they want customers. So if you sell anything to do with getting customers, this is the place to get them all in one go. And sometimes the trade show is even free to attend.
Sounds like a great idea. I have been collecting cards from various trade shows, but I’m never sure what that first email should be after the conference.
Do you put them into a big funnel and … well … then what?
