James Schramko here. Today, I’m talking about how you deal with the fear that you may have around sending an email to your customer base.
This is quite a common one. You may be feeling reluctant to send out an email because someone might complain or unsubscribe. What’s going on here? Maybe you’re worried about what they think about you. I just want to reassure you that most people are operating through life not thinking about you and your emails. They’re actually thinking about themselves. Even if they complain about receiving an email, usually, it’s a reflection on themselves. If you’re asking them to buy something and they can’t afford it, they might get angry at you but it still relates to their own situation.
Now, all of this comes with a caveat. You must make sure that you are delivering people what they’ve signed up for, what they were promised, that what you send is relevant and you’re maintaining a respectful, courteous relationship. If you do those things, then it’s OK to send an email, because emails are the pulse of your business. Emails mean you’re sending offers. Offers mean you’re making sales. Sales mean you’re helping people and you’re going to have a great life, and you’re helping people at the same time.
Good luck with sending your next email.
