James Schramko here with an idea for your next mastermind. Something I did recently was hold a liveaboard mastermind on a boat in the Maldives. I had 10 guests plus me, and over a week we were able to really get into the group dynamics of things.
Of course, when people come together, that’s the forming of the group, and then there’s a little bit of sorting out who’s who and getting to know each other. And then we get into performance mode, where we were able to really get a lot of cross-pollination of ideas.
A boat was good, a big boat over a hundred feet, because you can still hide away in a corner if you want and go up to a higher deck or go down to your cabin or stay in the lounge or put on some headphones, or you can just sit and casually chat to someone. So the good idea around a mastermind like this is that you get the right people in the environment, and then you basically cross-pollinate ideas.
And what you’ll find is by the end of a week, you have pretty much got everything that you can from each of the members according to their specialties. So consider that for your next mastermind, hold it in a smallish environment but get the right people, that’s absolutely critical.
