James Schramko here, and one thing that people ask about when you’re making videos or audios:
What equipment do you use? What do you need? Well, if you want to go advanced, of course you can have DSLR cameras and boom pole mics and lights and backdrops and all of that.
And I’ve used all of that equipment. But there’s something to be said for low-friction equipment, and the reality is, you’re probably carrying around enough equipment in your pocket to make content on an ongoing basis.
If you want to get really fancy, you could add some things like a Lav mic, which plugs into your phone. And you could use a tripod with a clamp for your phone. If you have scripts to do, you could use a Post-it note and stick it on the phone so I could read this and you can’t see it.
And I recorded this video on an iPhone. And that’s it. IPhone, no edit. I hope you enjoyed this.
Be inspired. Go make a video.
