My priority would be to build up a continuity business along with sufficent authority and audience to sell it to. Having trouble picking an audience that isn’t overly broad or local and boxing myself in; I need to figure the audience and the problem I solve to build the rest of the business.

My number one priority now is content creation aka my magazine, my blog, start a podcast based on those and re-organize my website to better suit subscriptions to magazine. So much to learn. My biggest question would be once you have started making podcasts what is the best way to market it to get those first listeners? Marketing is my biggest struggle. Thank you for the course James. I really enjoyed it and it has given me some ideas as well as reinforce some I have been contemplating.

Hi Adrienne go for the Podcast / Blog first . Start by publishing, then get guests who may also share and go on OTHER peoples podcasts to seed it
Adrianne Jerrett says
Thank you for your reply. Any tips on getting guests while you’re still new?
Jennifer Lancaster says
I’ve actually got a tip for you. You can join Ronsley Vaz’s facebook group, We Are Podcast. So many nice people who will help you out with podcast guests. Just say your theme and that you’re a bit new but super-committed.

Love this training. I feel like my business is kind of backwards. I’ve started with a podcast which I make money on through ads and patreon memebers. Now I feel like I have a great audience to sell to that like know and trust me I now just need to create a course or product or coaching I can market to them.

It is ok to build an audience and then ask them what challenges they are having. (Don’t as them what solutions they want). Then your courses can address these challenges. I can really help someone in your situation. The fun part starts now!
Johna Winters says
I really love the idea of an online business but I just don’t know where to start. I also have a fairly demanding job with a significant amount of travel. What could a person starting from zero accomplish in a year when they have a full-time job?

I have lots of content ideas but don’t have time to create them do you have some outsourcing options you have used for creating content. I am like you I can talk better than I write even though I authored a book.

James Schramko says
Hello Deb, I have a great recommendation for general VA’s and Support desk staff in the Philippines. These people can be trained if you are willing to train them. For content, we have great suppliers within our community and a course on how to best get a person from the various jobs boards to fill the needs of your content creation and distribution
Deb says
Thank you that would be great, I have tried a few companies and it hasn’t went well.

My priority is to retain and grow my coaching squads. my number tend to drop as kids get older and team sports take over. I want to educate and communicate that Athletics training builds a foundation to be Fit and Healthy for life and is the Base foundation needed for all their team sports. I liked you comments about FB posting, coz it is so hit and miss what engages people. I book clients for 10 week school terms, but a monthly recurring training fee would be a great way to keep them training over school holidays as well!
James Schramko says
go the recurring!

Hi there Krister, we sold that business and the website templates with it. I am not sure if they still sell them. I know lots of our members use Divi and Thrive Themes now.

Thank you James.

James, The succinctness of the course is astounding – I should have expected that after Work Less Make More.
My priority is to build a machine where VA’s deal with the technological and support aspects of my business and I can coach and create content to help addicts to be happy and sober.
James Schramko says
Oh Cool!
This was the presentation that inspired the book :)

I am looking for ideas for my Business Author Academy, still new. I am looking for a community plugin (WordPress) and wonder if you have a tip? I want to offer free content and free community first before adding a subscription layer.

James Schramko says
It is hard to convert a free community to paid.
I dont use WordPress for this. I would gravitate to http://www.10xpro.io If you are on a budget – a FB group for starters.
Jennifer Lancaster says
I respect your opinion and so I’ll check it out. At heart, I write and edit, so tech is just a means to an end.
James Schramko says
yes so keep it very tech friendly. I don’t get bogged down in tech either. Good one!

James Schramko says
I wonder how this is going Tony?
Tony Gunn says
Very slow. A little distracted with our first product launch on Amazon US. A new business model for the future.
Not sure what the best option is with 360. To update & spend the money as per my original thought or to sell it as is? I am in two minds about it.
James Schramko says
Focus on one thing at a time
Tony Gunn says
Ok can we re-visit what I am focusing on?
James Schramko says
Yes sure

H James, Thank you for putting together this training. I specially loved the first part it was well worth taking notes for me.
Well, I have a question I am not really into coaching membership business but starting my career as a agency owner. I am exploring more working ways for organic means and trying cold emailing. What do you advice someone like me, especially on lead generation?
