James Schramko here with internet marketing news coming to you from the country side in Italy.
Let’s talk about getting traffic from different platforms.
If you have a course or an e-product, it’s great to put your course on your own website, one that you own and control. But there are other platforms you can also put it. One to have a look at might be Udemy. Udemy.com is an education platform.
There’s also other platforms like AppSumo.com, the point is make sure that when you’re using other people’s platforms, that that’s not the only place that you put it because ultimately if you want control, you should still sell things from your own website where possible.
This week in SuperFastBusiness, somebody asked, should they rank for their own name?
Now I think this is really important. Your own name is a very hard sought after real estate and when people search for you to get an idea of your reputation, it’s good if you do come up first. Even if you have someone else out there with the same name as yours; unless it’s something like Barack Obama then you’ve probably got a good chance of getting your own name to the top of Google. Put some good content on there and point to your other websites if you’re not building out on your own domain name.
Make sure that you do control that because it’s important when people consider you as a partner or as a joint venture possibility or even if they’re looking to hire you for something. Make sure you put your message there for your own name. If you need help with that, head along to SuperFastBusiness Traffic Services, take out a Pro Pack and we’ll help you rank for your own name.
Working during your peak time
What sort of hours do you work? Are you working in the early morning, do you work at night or do you split it up? What I like to think of is getting the best energy management from your day.
Right now when I’m travelling, I actually carry around my notes on a little piece of paper and I wait for the right moment when I’m ready to deliver my news. It could be early, it could be late but when it feels right, that’s when I go for it. As long as I have my camera and my notes on standby I’m able to deliver the news.
When I’m at home, normally my peak times are mid-morning and then after dinner. I guess that’s maybe from working so many times after dinner in the years up until I left my job. So work out your peak time and do that. What you’ll find is, you can work less hours but if they’re in your peak energy time, you’ll get more done.
A little tip that I picked up from reading a book about will power, is eat something. Give yourself some glucose, a little bit of fruit juice or some kind of energy food just before you work and you’ll be able to actually process more in the same amount of time.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these tips. I’ll catch up with you next week.

Is it possible to become a 3rd party and advertise the services that SEO partner offers and then pass it off as my own research and service? (sounds a little underground & dodgy I know).
Mark, the majority of our customers are resellers so this is a very good business model. Ask the team at http://www.superfasthelp.com
Some good stuff James…especially the part about working in your peak times. Circadian rhythms really make a difference.
Sorry James, Just saw that you have already replied. Getting in touch now.
Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That’s right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. [edit] – here is the spam link from this amazingly stupid blog comment —-> SEO-SOLUTIONS.INFO <-----SPAMMER IDIOT
spam comments like this one are why Google update algorithms
