What does your audience need to have huge success? Is it going to be that one-time package? Is it going to be a recurring solution? And what do you think is going to resonate with them, that’s going to get you the best result for the amount of time and effort it’s going to take you to put together the program?
These are the sorts of things you might want to consider if you’re trying to figure out how to sell products versus a membership. And I’d say a membership is the long game. Selling lifetime things or packages or products is the short game. And it’s really only a now stag, whereas the membership is a three to five-year goal. It almost always looks worse in the beginning, that where is it going to end up, but then you get a membership like mine, where it’s 10 years mature, and it’s like the absolute best life you could ever possibly imagine.
So it depends what timeframe you want to put on it. And also what sort of resource allocation you have to be able to put together something. Or if it’s a very small effort to just configure what you’ve already got and take it to market for a quick sale, then by all means, do that, but then get on with the long-term plan in the meantime.
