James: James here from SuperFastBusiness.com with my friend John Lint from 10XPRO.io. Hey, John.
John: Hey, James. Hello, everybody.
James: John, I want to talk about how we build a website because it’s changed. Before, we used to sort of build it on our computer, and then we’d hit upload, and we’d send it up to the internet. And if we couldn’t figure that out, we’d pay someone $15,000 to do that for us. You know, just recently, we would hire a designer, we’d pay them a few thousand dollars to come up with a PSD file, like a Photoshop file, then we give that to our coder who will then slice it up and put it into multiple different versions for different devices.
That’s the skin. And then they’ll frame that around the core coding, which often will be a WordPress site underneath. So they’re wrapping the WordPress site with the new design, or it’s pretty uncommon now, they might be coding it out by hand, or, you know, putting it into a coding tool like we used to have Dreamweaver, for example, or Frontpage or they just do it in Notepad, which is like ultra geeky. But so the components are the skin, and then there’s the mechanics behind it.
And then, you might have to do different page or post type templates. So if you have a homepage, it might be a video with words. And it might be a single pane versus a blog template, which might be blog posts, summaries, and then a sidebar. And then there might be other pages like a thank you page with a different layout or webinar registration page with a little video in the box and an opt-in. So different things and usually costs per template. So it’s kind of like an architect in a building, your architect might be designing the plans and giving you all the different pages and then they have to pay the builder to build it.
And it can actually run into many, many thousands, you can still pay five to $10,000 to have someone do that. But I want to know when it comes to 10XPRO, how do we build a website? Because I think the process is different and I think you can actually have some customization as well. So let’s talk about those two elements.
John: Yeah, sure. Well, with 10XPRO, it’s all about using your mouse and using what we call the page builder. So as the name implies, let’s say you want to create a new page, you click on add new page, you get a pop-up, and you can get started very fast by selecting some of our pre-made templates.
So we have a ton of templates like opt-in page templates, these are landing pages to help you build your email list. Sales pages, so if you are looking to create a fancy sales page with long-form copy, you can. You mentioned webinar registration page, yeah, we do have templates for that as well. So a bunch of different templates, different categories, you basically pick the ones that you might like, click a button, and then the page builder opens.
And now using your mouse, simply move it around, and you will see that some areas get highlighted. And you can easily then, for example, change the text by clicking on it. And then on the left, you can then type your new tags, change the font, change the color, change the size, and a bunch of different other options, right? So it’s very easy, the only thing you need to do is use your mouse.
Now, of course, if you’re working with a designer, like you said, and you want to do some more customizing… You got a specific look or brand guidelines, and it’s very important to have your own version, can you do it? To match everything, because maybe you’re doing stuff on social media, and you want everything to match, then cool, you can do that. And it’s very easy, because you can then add what we call blocks, like I want to add video there, you click a plus, select the block, say for example, a video and now boom, that video appears there. There’s no coding required, nothing to do with going under the hood…
James: So it’s a lot like building a PowerPoint or Keynote presentation, you can either start, with the pre-done ones that have like a square and text or grids…
John: Sure.
James: Or you can bring in a theme and make it global across all the designs. And then you can add components wherever you want.
John: Yeah, you can tweak that and then save it and then you can reuse it all the time. So it makes it very easy. You no longer need to go into coding mode or even hire a programmer. That’s what we want to do.
James: So you’ve replaced the programmer.
John: Yeah, exactly, exactly. You just need to, you know, learn obviously, the interface a little bit, which is very easy and then you simply use your mouse. Now when you want to do some more advanced stuff and if you want to work with a designer, that’s totally cool, then you can do some more fancy things. If maybe you don’t have a design eye for example, we have many designers that…
James: I don’t have a design eye. So, I’m either taking the plain templates or I’m hiring a designer. But if I went to my designer and said I’m using 10XPRO, will they be able to code it or make the design to fit the requirements that you require?
John: Yeah, so basically, they would probably do like you said, you know, designers usually work with Photoshop first to show you, hey, is that the page you want? And you say, yeah, blah, blah, and then we can easily decide what tool to use.
Now the difference is that instead of spending hours and you paying thousands of dollars to get the design into a page, now they can go into 10XPRO, get started, and then they will know very easily how to use the tool by just simply using their mouse. And then they’ll be able to replicate that design exactly the way they want. So it makes it very easy.
We have a ton of designers on board. Our friend, Greg Merrilees, is on board as well, he does awesome designs for 10XPRO. So if someone wants to get in touch with him, we can hook you up, no problem. The whole process is that super easy, very fast to implement, because that’s our job. I want to make sure that you can create any page you want, very fast, so you can get started. So you can get the results that you want, build your email list, start generating sales and sell access to your courses or to your membership site.
James: Perfect! You know, well, Greg will be happy. StudioOneDesign.com can make 10XPRO templates now, which is terrific news.
And there are also some other suppliers in the network who are helping people. If they don’t want to get in there with the mouse and point and click, there’s actually people who can now help them to do things in the background, like a VA, but who knows 10XPRO, right?
John: Of course, yeah, we have experts who know 10XPRO inside-out.
James: And they just get in touch with support and 10XPRO.io. Yep. sweet!
John: Exactly.
James: So basically, to build a website, it’s only limited to our imagination, you can have any combination of pages, templates, thank you, social media, all that stuff is all being integrated, because you’ve got a strong user base. And they’ve already requested and you’ve had these things developed. So you just look in the library.
Now, if you wanted something that you’ve been using on your own site, and for some reason, it’s not already in there, then you can just create your own one by adding modules and elements. And if it’s something technical or more complex then it’s worth then having a chat to you to see if it’s on your development radar, because you put out new developments quite often based on user requests, right?
John: Yeah, absolutely. I mean, that’s how we have grown 10XPRO, that’s why people are loving it. That’s why people are switching back to us. Because, you know, that’s what we do. We work with key players and with all our customers. And whenever I hear a good idea or a suggestion for our templates, we can easily add it. And we can easily develop the features that are going to matter, that is going to help as many customers as possible.
And that’s really how our development cycle works. And that’s why we are so fast. And that’s why people are always happy. Whenever I send an email, it’s to announce, hey, we just released this, this and that. That’s our difference. And that’s why I think people are really loving 10XPRO.
And going back to the website page, people ask me, Hey, can I build a traditional website with 10XPRO, meaning like a homepage, about me page, contact page, you know, those classic type of pages that you see on websites. And the answer is yes, absolutely. And again, going back to what we said, we do have templates for that that will allow you to get started fast. We actually have a campaign in 10XPRO that you can install with one click. And when you install it, you’re going to have a homepage, an about me page, a contact page, the sales page, a join the waitlist page, all of that, a video page or a podcast page, all of that is built with the templates, and then you just use your mouse and customize it, maybe change your colors, or change the image for this, whatever you want. But the base, the structure is there. And then you can easily change it nice and easy.
James: So what if I had like hundreds of users and I had a business where I wanted to kind of franchise out, people get their own version of my website. Can I have an installation that they can just be copied over and over and over again?
John: Yeah, that’s awesome. This is great, great point. So we have this feature called share a campaign. So basically, pages live in what we call campaigns. And if you have, for example, a campaign that has all of these pages that you like, and let’s say these are templates that you are going to use as part of your course, then you can have a share URL, you can give that to all your members. And then the only thing we need to do, click a button, say import, paste the URL, boom, everything from your site gets copied into their site, and then they instantly have all the templates that you might have created.
And this is something that a lot of our members do as awesome bonuses for their own courses or membership programs, things like that, because it’s a ton of value. And obviously you can help people out by helping them get results much faster.
James: That is a powerful feature for anyone who’s selling anything that resembles, you know, including a website in their package.
And could that person also become an affiliate of 10XPRO and perhaps share in some of the fees that their customers will be paying to have it fully hosted and managed?
John: Yeah, absolutely. I mean, we have an affiliate program, 40% commission lifetime as long as they remain a member, they get 40%. We also have a second level. So if you know what we call a top dog, and they become an affiliate, they will make 40%. But you, because you refer them, can make 10% on their sales which is amazing. So we have a ton of things going on that way we take care of our affiliates really well. And I make sure that we can support them and help them grow their own business.
And that’s a great strategy, by the way, that you just mentioned, sharing funnels that you build in 10XPRO instantly as a bonus with your members. It works really, really well.
James: There you go. So that’s how you build a website, or how you build a network of websites with a few clicks of a button.
John, as always, it’s awesome to chat with you. If you want to see what John’s got cooking there, go over to 10XPRO.io. It’s got some training on how it works. You could ask them questions, and everyone in my network is all over this. I just want to thank you for creating what was desperately needed in our marketplace.
John: No worries. Thank you so much for having me.
