I have seen too many people cry ‘victim’ when the rug gets pulled from under them.
Examples of victim mindset:
“My boss sacked me”
“Google slapped my sites”
“YouTube shut my account”
“EzineArticles banned my article”
“My landlord decided to sell the house so we got kicked out”
These ‘victims’ were really just the race horse on someone else’s racecourse.
The racecourse owner gets paid every time there is a race regardless which horse won or lost. They take a clip from the bookies earnings via rent. They earn from food and drinks. They take advertising revenue. The person in CONTROL who OWNS the game can dictate the terms. Rest assured, when you build your entity, income (aka job), or traffic dependency on someone else’s racecourse you ought to expect to lose at some point. Take ownership.
It is not by chance this post is posted to a blog on a domain I control rather than Facebook…
Reduce compromise, increase certainty and own the racecourse where possible.
p.s. Once you own the racecourse, by all means get yourself a racehorse

Funnily enough, I just used this analogy with a client today.
It has stuck with me since the first time I heard you speak in London a couple of years ago.
I had an internal chuckle when I heard myself saying it.
And it gets the point across brilliantly each and every time too.
Thanks Stephanie! It certainly helps you build a better asset.
