Well, I just noticed Alexa has moved Coolest Guy On The Planet from 699337 to: 519 338th ranked website in the world. (And on track for better!)
The coolest guy on the planet is also getting traffic activity on the Alexa Graph, Cool!

I crashed my server that hosts "coolest guy on the planet" - too many hits!!

Coolest guy on the planet is attracting plenty of visits now.

I looked up this www.jamesschramko.com/coolest-guy-on-the-planet.html site and checked the phrase: "coolest guy on the planet" and the information is stunning.


I should give up right now when I realize why getting number one on Google could be difficult.

My coolest guy on the planet site is 14th on Google - I have 8 pages indexed in alta vista, 3 backlinks to my page from elsewhere , 5 to my domain, 13 anchor ranked links, and 7 phrases "coolest guy on the planet" on my page. My site is newish at Jan 2005.

Compare this with number one on Google, SEO expert Brad Fallon who has 587 pages indexed in Google, 1430 Alta vista pages, 8370 backlinks to his page, 11100 to his domain, and a 6 year old domain age. I have been smashed!

Next is 2nd Coolest Guy On the Planet by Andy Jenkins he has 73 pages indexed in google, 255 in Alta Vista, 91 backlinks, 644 backlinks to his domain, and 4 on page references to "coolest guy on the planet" . His domain is four years old. He is also 1st on Yahoo.

3rd on Google is clearly 3rd Coolest Guy on the planet -garrett with 2nd spot on Yahoo. He has accumulated 1810 pages indexed on Google, 592 on Alta Vista, 64 backlinks to his page, 2560 to his domain, he uses the phrase "coolest guy on the planet" ten times on his page, and his domain has aged 3 years.

Observations:

The coolest guy in Google is the one with the most Backlinks. Simple.
Having more specific page links versus domain links is better.
Having more pages indexed is an advantage also.
Having the specific phrase on the page 14 times helped Mike Filsaime more than the others even though he only has 26 backlinks.

I have just submitted my coolest guy on the planet site to search engines and directories. Will see if that creates more backlinks and traffic.

What! - I've broken with tradition and renamed my post title in coolest guy on the planet to some other title? I have noticed Yahoo has slipped my ranking for coolest guy on the planet somewhat, so perhaps I am being "de-duped" for having smilar titles.

Besides- If you are searching coolest guy on the planet for tips and tricks like many others (webalizer shows that June has nearly overtaken May - not bad for this time of the month) then you will appreciate the labelling.
